RFP 18-19-48Lake Isabella Adult Education Instructor/Tutor/Literacy-OVCDC is seeking bids from qualified vendors to provide 9.5 hours of Adult Education services weekly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays or as negotiated with 1 hour of preparation per week, for a total time of 10.5 hours per week. Classes are to be held at the OVCDC Tribal TANF office located at 6404 Lake Isabella Blvd, Lake Isabella, CA 93240 or such other location as may be agreed on by the parties during the term of the Agreement. Contractor will instruct Tribal TANF eligible adult students in GED preparation and testing, basic computer literacy, DMV study, and Life Skills Workshops as well as administer assessment tests. Contractor will be responsible for data collection of assessment scores and student monthly attendance hours. OVCDC will provide curriculum and class supplies for students as well as classroom space and computers for students. RFP 18-19-47Bishop Higher Education Mentoring/Facilitation-OVCDC is seeking bids from qualified vendors to provide facilitation & mentorship to youth participating in the OVCDC Higher Education Prevention on-line education program. OVCDC Higher Education Prevention program will be held at the OVCDC Tribal TANF Office 2574 Diaz Lane, Bishop, CA 93515 or other local agreed location. OVCDC expects 3 quarters of mentoring from October 2018 to December 31, 2019, January 2019 through March 2019 and April 2019 through June 2019. For each quarter the selected contractor will facilitate a 10 week course (class) (30 weeks of total services) by providing academic mentorship and tutoring assistance to the high school youth participating in the OVCDC Higher Education Prevention program. Up to 10 students per session are expected. Contractor will provide in person facilitation of on-line classes provided by Universities two days per week (Mondays and Wednesdays are expected) starting October 4, 2018 in the evenings after school.OVCDC is seeking prompt submissions and proposals will be evaluated as received with a close date of until a contract is awarded. RFP 18-19-37Benton Homework Assistance/Tutoring,- OVCDC is seeking bids from qualified vendors to provide tutor services in the Benton, CA area. Contractor will provide 2 hours of tutoring services twice a week, Mondays 3:45 pm-5:45 pm and Wednesdays, 4:45 pm – 6:45 pm assisting with afterschool Academic Education Program for a total of 4.0 hours per week. Anticipated 36 weeks of services September 10, 2018, through June 7, 2019. Tutoring sessions are held at the Benton Tribe Community Center, 567 Yellow Jacket Road, Benton, CA. Contractor will provide one to one and group tutoring assistance with Tribal TANF eligible students in school subject areas: Math, English Language Arts, Science and Social Studies. RFP 18-19-29Early Head Start Playgrounds (6-23 Months & 2-5 yrs) (Design, Build & Install)- OVCDC is seeking bids or proposals from qualified vendors to design, equip and install two (2) outdoor nature play Early Head Start (“EHS”) playgrounds. Each playground will include two play areas; one (1) area for ages 0-23 months and one (1) area for ages 2-5 years old. OVCDC is seeking one playground to be fully installed on a site located at 2574 Diaz Lane, Bishop, California 93514 and the other playground to be fully installed on a site located at Big Sandy, 37190 Jose Basin Road, Auberry, CA 93602. OVCDC reserves the right to award design, equip and build of the Bishop playground separately from the design and build of the Big Sandy playground to different vendors. Additional areas of knowledge would be the familiarity of various school curriculums. Will be responsible for collecting and turning in sign in sheets and providing monthly assessments to measure each student’s progress. Need to be available two (2) days per week, Tuesday &Thursday, 4 pm-6:30 pm from September 11, 2018 through May 23, 2019. Attend quarterly meetings with parents to provide updates on student’s progress, challenges or suggestions. Attend a final debriefing meeting on June 7, 2019.
