21-22-35Big Pine Equestrian Lessons- OVCDC r is seeking proposals from responsible qualified independent contractors to provide Equestrian services/lessons to include cultural and historical educational components weekly in Big Pine, California to TANF eligible participants including children 5-17. Contractor will instruct all students in horse care, proper riding techniques, safe riding skills and include information on indigenous peoples’ relationship and history with horses. Contractor will attend an initial orientation session with OVCDC each year. OVCDC is seeking no more than 20 lessons of at least one hour including horse & tack each week. This project will be funded entirely with Government Grant funds. Proposals must be received by December 3, 2021 at 5:00pm PST. In the event no proposals are received from qualified bidders by the close date; this RFP will remain open until an agreement is awarded. Email (electronic) responses are preferred.
20-21-28Indigenous Language Consultant- Fluent Speaker- OVCDC is seeking bids (quotes) from responsible, qualified independent contractors. Contractor is expected to be fluent and conversational with advanced knowledge and verbal communication skills in an indigenous language and should be independently engaged in the trade or occupation of indigenous language(s). OVCDC is seeking consultants with substantial knowledge of indigenous languages that are understood, spoken and of interest to sufficient TANF eligible individuals both on-reservation and off-reservation within the OVCDC service areas of Inyo, Mono, Kern, Tulare, Kings, Fresno and Ventura Counties in California. This project will be funded entirely with Government Grant funds.Proposals must be received by September 25, 2020 at 5:00 pm PST. This RFP will remain open and proposals will be accepted year round.
