The National Indian Justice Center will conduct a training session on Protecting Sacred Sites.
This training explores the conditions and obstacles that prevent Native Americans from accessing sacred
sites to practice traditional religions. It will also examine the field of cultural resources monitoring
at road construction sites and other construction sites where sacred objects may be unearthed.
Appropriate federal, state and tribal laws will be analyzed. Participants will receive a comprehensive
reference manual and certificate of achievement upon completion of the training session.
